Who is the Partners for Gamblers Support Group for?
These group sessions are for anyone who has a partner who is addicted to gambling. It could be a husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend or partner.
How do I sign up to a session?
To join a session, go to our events page and follow the sign up process. Each session cost $60 per person. This supports the therapists as well as going directly into the not-for profit to further support our work.
What does the program help partners understand?
The program helps partners understand how gambling creates dopamine, how apps and algorithms keep people hooked, how to think critically about money, and how to identify manipulative marketing techniques.
What do partner group sessions cover?
Partner sessions are designed to be small confidential groups to support and educate on the modern sports-betting landscape, how to talk to partners about gambling, practical tools, and treatment options for adults with gambling disorder.
